Once upon a time, there was a vegan cowboy called Hank Howard, who lived and loved the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Everyday he wakes and wanders across the broad ridges of those craggy peaks and sometimes he stops to capture them on his old Leica camera. Today was one of those such days, and Widow’s Peak, as he called it, was his subject, taken as the morning light bathes the outcrop in cool blue light, and the trees dance slowly in the wind. Once Hank has developed his day’s work in his log cabin dark room, he gets to painting with a watercolour wash made from the water of the stream running right through the middle of his dwelling. Part of his “Nature by the River” collection, this beautiful print is a handsome addition to a room looking for a mountain escape with a twist.
